Ajuna charts the path for the future of gaming; our platform provides a seamless way for developers and game studios to create top-notch, highly customized, immersive blockchain games. Games Have Evolved, But The Industry Still Lacks

Despite creating a vibrant gaming community, many gaming companies fail to value the role of gamers due to their overt focus on short-term profits over crafting the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences possible. Blockchain games provide a practical alternative; however, the slow performance and outdated gaming experience deter their widespread adoption despite the opportunity to earn rewards.

Outdated technology hinders blockchain games from matching the scalability demands of modern games. As a result of the limitations, blockchain gaming platforms host rewarding but uninspiring games, attracting only a sparse population. Unfortunately, the problems are beyond outdated technology; they also include:

• Technological barriers preventing the onboarding of developers and studios from mainstream platforms.

• Challenges defining digital property and functionality to the gaming market.

• Fundraising to kickstart or reinvigorate game studios.

• A flawed community-building system, reliant on expensive rewards for success.

Seeing the limitation within the blockchain gaming industry, we embarked on a journey to build our solution, which eventually became a project to progress the blockchain gaming industry.

Ajuna Network’s Blockchain Gaming Solution

1. Connect

In our pursuit of better blockchain gaming, we designed a four-point action plan to overcome the challenges we had encountered in the industry. Ajuna connects/integrates Unity and Unreal engines to remove the obstacles hindering developers from working in a familiar environment; we provide a means of seamless integration with leading development engines with blockchain technology. Through our integration, developers can start to build blockchain games without spending months learning blockchain languages.

2. Build

We enable developers to incorporate digital assets and functionality into their games by equipping game studios with a foundation for developing blockchain games. Our toolbox approach enables developers to build complex blockchain games without the technical hassle.

3. Launch

Ajuna involves all stakeholders in the blockchain gaming industry from day one. We promote the growth of gaming studios by allowing them to leverage our developing ecosystem for fundraising, market strategy, design, and networking. Projects will also receive support throughout their lifecycle, including backing to ensure a quick and efficient launch on our ecosystem cycle.

4. Grow

Ajuna is built with underlying future-proof technology to ensure longevity; our network leverages Substrate and Polkadot to deliver a trusted and secure blockchain experience for gaming. We expect the blockchain gaming industry to grow over time; thus, by building on Polkadot and using Substrate, we ready Ajuna for future gaming interoperability.

Comprehensive Layers of Assurance

Our network technology comprises four layers; each layer contributes to the interoperability, security, upgradeability, and development of all projects within our ecosystem.

Layer 0: Polkadot/Kusama — enables scalability by allowing specialized blockchains to communicate in a secure, trust-free environment.

Layer 1: Ajuna Parachain — Parachains are a bridge between blockchains; they enable instantaneous transactions, solving the blockchain scalability issue.

Layer 2: Ajuna Side Chain — Ajuna has developed a unique second-layer solution that harnesses the power of trusted execution environments (TEE) to improve users’ block times, interaction time, and performance.

Layer 3: Ajuna State Channels — Ajuna and Perun are working to build Ajuna state channels on top of the Perun channels to enable general logic execution and payment transaction processing. Ajuna provides game developers with a state channel solution to enable real-time communication where privacy requirements are low.

A channel allows for funds to be deposited and withdrawn between players as many times as necessary. Once opened, the channel stays open until the in-game activity is over and all related transactions are complete. Once finalized, each player receives a payout according to the transactions conducted through the channel.

Ajuna’s platform will help blockchain gaming become mainstream by integrating it with Unreal and Unity. Built on Substrate, Ajuna leverages the full potential of Polkadot to provide real value for gamers and developers through a fully interoperable decentralized system for games and virtual goods.
