Reaching the Paraverse! (November 11th - November 17th)
What is up, my friends!
Those that have been following the WagMedia (WM) Weekly for some time may have noticed the new Substack page. The intention is to reach a larger audience, as well as to provide additional convenience for our readers.
Followers can sign-up for an email alert as soon as each enormous wrap up is available. The alert will offer a condensed summary with highlights and links to the full segments, and the custom images are a fun and visual way of catching up.
Some Wag Medians have enjoyed reviewing images posted in each newsletter thread before even reading the freshly posted article.
Substack itself is a popular platform that recommends a plethora of solid writers for you to subscribe to, and the mobile app is pretty handy, too. WM Writers might consider using this fantastic tool to expand their brand.
Top crypto publications on Substack include Bankless, and if you weren’t aware, some of the DotSama community regularly publish content there too. Check out the publications from RMRK’s Bruno & Gbaci, HydraDX, Basilisk, Kylin, and one of our top WagMedia creators @pnp.
Whilst this new approach extends our newsletter’s reach, it’s important to recognize the importance of having censorship resistance that comes with full decentralization. Therefore, we will still be publishing all pieces on Subsocial (rebranding to Polkaverse).
WM’s mission is to spread community-generated news and content about DotSama; we will continue to explore methods to expand our reach and meet people where they are.
With the astonishing weekly output, the WM Weekly Newsletter is an indispensable asset, so share it with your friends so they can stay on top of all there is to know and wag!

TOP NEWS OF THE WEEK
The reach of Polkadot has been steadily rising throughout the tough market conditions of 2022. As reported by Dotinsights, the Q3 numbers are pretty impressive. Furthermore, given all the recent turmoil we’ve recently seen, there’s a large uptrend in new accounts, as well as a good amount of new active users.
Dotinsights is an initiative created by the Subwallet team with support from Parity. It offers a comprehensive ecosystem map of Polkadot and Kusama where important insights and analysis can be derived.
The Q3 deep dive report is a great example of the output of the initiative, it backs with clear data and analytics the rumors that Dotsama is the top destination for developers with strong institutional backing and a highly decentralized and secure network.
Consider spending some time on it if you haven’t already, as there’s a vote to ascertain what people think are the best projects in the ecosystem.
You can even vote for WagMedia–perhaps a good opportunity to check out SubWallet as you will need to install it to be able to vote.
Industry adoption is another area where we see progressive reach: Energy Web, OriginTrial, and Aventus have all made their marks in the last couple of years.
Just this past week, Energy Web announced a partnership with the Rocky Mountain Institute, which relates to supporting the Aviation Industry.
Ser, did you watch the recent Kusamarian interview with Sota Watanabe, the CEO and founder of Astar Network? The video gets into how Astar is making an impact in Japan, with Sota explaining Astar’s involvement with the Japanese Government in making Web3 adoption a reality.
We are witnessing strong support from Japanese companies, the onboarding of a major city, and much more covered here.
Taking on current affairs in the World, Unique Network has been involved with COP27, the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Egypt. The team launched a dedicated NFT marketplace, as well as taking to the stage as they co-host a pavilion at the conference.
Bitcountry’s metaverse will be hosting the Kaosland Cup, a metaverse imitation of the FIFA World Cup. There was a selfie warm-up competition for NEER token prizes. Full details of the main event will be revealed soon.
With regards to parachain auctions, after a low period, Pendulum will be offering a crowdloan in December. It has the potential to have wide appeal as the chain is building a decentralized forex market.
As mentioned by Dr. Gavin Wood in his recent announcement: “I’ll be pointing my regained focus towards exploring how we can contribute to making Polkadot and Web3 more relevant to large swathes of the population.”
And remember, WagMedia will be here to ensure that along with the rapid building in our enormous ecosystem, the latest news and awesome content will continue to reach more people!
Now, on to the usual flurry of news and content.
