The Spacers Vision

The Spacers NFT collection represents freedom of speech, thought, and information, the very things that have been endangered by Web2 social networks. Subsocial aims to fix that, and the Spacers are here to help.

To date, there has never before been a social network intertwined with an NFT collection. We see this as a great opportunity to push boundaries and experiment with new strategies for network growth. NFT collections live and die with their communities, and blockchains require network effects to thrive. Therefore, combining the two seems like a win-win-win situation for the collection, blockchain, and users.

Additionally, we are utilizing Spacer Squads to tap into the network effects of existing communities in the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems, effectively bootstrapping the Spacers community, and easily forming various subcommunities, which will congregate in SpacerDAO.

If we think on a proper five to ten year time horizon, Spacers allow us to reward early community members (due to their utility and value in the Subsocial ecosystem). Top tier creators and influencers will seek to obtain one or more Spacers due to their utility, and they may choose to use the Spacer’s artwork as the visual component of their digital identity.

The ideal outcome of the Spacers NFT collection and SpacerDAO will be a thriving and self-sufficient community. This means the SpacerDAO treasury will have sufficient capital inflows to support “employees” and act in its own best interest. One avenue of this will be improving the use cases and value of the Subsocial ecosystem, which will in turn benefit all Spacers and by extension the DAO itself. The success of SpacerDAO will bring attention to Subsocial, and a positive cycle will be established.

Spacers also benefit from Sub.ID, as it is one of the most popular dapps in the ecosystem, and owning a Spacer will provide access to premium features on Sub.ID, such as the ability to hide your account.

It is highly likely that future dapps built on Subsocial will also incorporate special features and utility for Spacers as a way to attract more users to their platform. The end result will be that Spacers function as VIP tickets and an index fund for the entire Subsocial ecosystem.

Entering SpacerDAO transforms you into an elite member of the social network of tomorrow. By using a Spacer Squad promo code when acquiring these VIP tickets, you will kickstart your ascension through the ranks of Spacers, and help usher in an age of freedom. Join us today in the SpacerDAO Discord server.
