Sharing the Story of DotSama! (June 19th -...

What is up my friends! This week has seen an explosion of non-English content, totaling 29 pieces of content posted on the server.

Head on over to the Translating DotSama section of the weekly, where you will find content made by 10 awesome content creators, in Italian, Japanese, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Greek, and Turkish.

Additionally, the WagMedia Translatoor’s sign-up has also seen an uptick in enrollment, where we now have channels covering 7 languages. As things take shape with WagMedia translations, there are some juicy bounties to be had. There have already been a good number of proposals agreed upon and translations completed.

If you are interested in translating DotSama content, then sign-up. A proposal and lounge area for a language will pop up when a quorum of 4 has enlisted.

TOP NEWS OF THE WEEK

The coverage of DotSama continues to grow around the world, and it will be enhanced with Polkadot Decoded hosting a number of live events in different global locations.

There will be live conferences in Berlin, Buenos Aires, Hangzhou, and New York that will align with a full-on program.

Rumor has it that Dr. Gavin Wood will be taking to the stage in person in Buenos Aires with a Keynote. It is confirmed that Robert Habermeier, will be presenting his Keynote in Berlin.

Given we are only days away from kick-off, spaces to attend the live conferences might be difficult to obtain. Online streams are an option, and why not consider one of the side events which will be an opportunity to wind down, mingle, and have fun.

Side events will be based around the live conference locations. However, other locations include Mexico City, Seoul, Valencia, Rio De Janeiro, Kigali, London, Abuja, Juba, and Kampala.

If you have not done so already, then do remember to register attendance.

Firstly there was NFT NYC, which is a hugely popular event in the industry, due to the glamor and buzz around NFTs. Notable DotSama representation included: PhalaWorld, RMRK, Lucky Friday NFT, Kusama Kingdom, Public Pressure, Neon Crisis, Manta, Polka Häus, Crust, and even some Astar strategic partners were spotted.

Next up and still ongoing is the first ever Polkadot Hacker house, coincidentally in New York, and kicked off on Thursday. The event is geared toward developers, coders, engineers, and builders, and complements the ongoing Polkadot Hackathon: North America Edition. In-person presence from a number of teams includes Astar, Crust, Kilt, Moonbeam, and Phala.

Ser have ya heard of Diora Network? It’s a new project that has somewhat been under the radar and recently made it onto parachains.info. Built on Substrate, it's an L1 blockchain that supports EVM, and WASM to follow. Adopts its own unique Proof of Stake Masternode (PoSM) consensus. Interesting approaches to dApps, with developers rewarded for value & impact, additionally, dApp ownership can be traded. High processing of 2000+ transactions per second, with the potential of 30K+ TPS with advancements such as sharding. The team has been competing in the One Block+ Polkadot Hackathon 2022. Developers might want to take note, that the Substrate docs page was renewed with improved navigation and content. The most noticeable change is the tutorials were restructured.
InvArch Partnership with SubSquid is announced. The archiving and data retrieval will significantly boast InvArch’s protocols, with the handling of intellectual property on-chain. All this brings us closer to realizing a plagiarism-resistant future.
CLV announces an alliance with VefiNft Marketplace. Vefi is a blockchain infrastructure and solution providing an ecosystem of blockchain-intrinsic products and services. CLV Chain and CLV Wallet will be integrated into Vefi ecosystem products.
The Moonbeam Universe crowdcast showcased how they are integrating their DeFi capabilities with Moonwell. With demonstrations of clicking on the Lend/Borrow section, taking out a stablecoin loan backed by GLMR, and then providing liquidity. Aziz from the Stellaswap team mentioned that they are working on providing gasless fees.
Dot Festival Event 3 will be launched next week which means Astar will bring more and more DOTS to the ecosystem in the coming weeks. Currently, Astar Network is the 2nd place, according to the infographic it is an awfully close second.

Overall, the Astar Builder’s program will help them fulfill their goals to: enhance decentralization, provide a better user experience to the Shiden ecosystem, reduce Dev Op strain on the parachain teams, and provide more choice to the developer base.

Crowdloan Updates

Congratulations to Imbue Network for winning the 41st Kusama parachain slot (40th auction). Contributions were 3550 KSM, from 249 contributors. Imube provides Decentralized Venture Capital, a crowdfunding DAO platform derived from a fair launch without early private investors.
Invarch has updated their Tinkernet Kusama crowdloan tokenomics. Adjustments primarily address the lower KSM price, whilst ensuring decentralization. Hard cap increased to 20K KSM, with inflation also increased to 10%. Crowdloan rewards pool is now up to 15%. A number of allocations have been changed, including new allocations for future crowdloans, staking, and liquidity support.
The Totem has won a parachain slot in Auction 20 Polkadot Crowdloan, congratulations!
What's in Your Wallet?
Darwinia Apps portal now officially supports SubWallet. Users can log into the Darwinia Apps display and transfer Darwinia and Crab assets in the extension. Upcoming features include the support of XCM.
Subwallet now fully supports EVM parachains.
New network Pichiu is now available in Nova Wallet.
Previously revealed alpha within the WagMedia discord, Talisman officially confirms support for EVM.
More dApps have been added to the Nova Wallet catalog. Including Phala’s SubBridge, Moonwell Artemis DEX, and Skybreach.
Talisman's browser extension is to be implemented into Skybreach. And wait no further as the team updated that it has gone live, no need to use Metamask any more friends!.
