The Consensus is DotSama! (June 5th - June 11th)

What is up, my friends! With the end of Batch 3 Polkadot auctions, we now see many parachains coming alive and producing blocks. As you may have already wagged, many of these teams have put out concrete details on their roadmaps, which include those eagerly-awaited crowdloan token distributions.

In a similar way, WagMedia has also come (more) alive with concierge 2.0. You can now get paid in KSM for finding or creating content, and just after 2 days, 26.5KSM has been earmarked for distribution.

Please register with the concierge in Discord so your address is on file and can receive rewards.

TOP NEWS OF THE WEEK

As summarized last week, “all roads leading to DotSama”, with the glut of events and teams on the road, most of the parachain teams are attending in-person events in different parts of the world.

Dotsama Prague started the week with the immense one-day session in the beautiful Jatka78 theatre. The event was hosted by the KodaDot team and was part of the Prague GM Blockchain industry event.

Representatives from a diverse range of the DotSama ecosystem turned up. The agenda was jam-packed with talks from Centrifuge, SubstraKnights, KodaDot, Nodle, Astrid DAO, Interlay, Subsquid, Pendulum, Acala, Talisman, Astar, and Bifrost.

If you didn’t manage to make it, here is the live stream recording. Also worth noting is that some alpha was dropped about Talisman and EVM, which was met with cheers in both the room as well as on the WagMedia discord.

Then there is Consensus 2022 in Austin, which is one of the most significant events on the industry calendar. This officially kicked off in the second half of the week, although a number of linked events also took place earlier and in parallel within the city.

Overall a good number of the DotSama teams participated, with the closeout of all the festivities on Sunday.

So starting the week was Dcentral, which is a more focused mix of booths, workshops, and talks covering NFT, GameFi, and DAOs with DeFi. In particular, the talks featured Composable, Darwinia, Invarch, Kilt, and Manta.

Working the Consensus booths were Crust, Moonbeam, Oak, Parallel, and Phala, with the merch to hand out. Whilst in the background there was Oak hosting a live podcast with Subquery, Moonbeam, and Parity.

Phala also kept busy, as they decided to sponsor the Encode hackathon. Whilst Darwinia plans a live broadcast.

Finally, taking to the Consensus stages were Acala, Composable, Kilt, Litentry, Moonbeam, Parity, Phala, and Unique. With all this going on, we believe that the Consensus is DotSama!
